Betaflight Sensor Calibration

Calibrate flight controller current scale, offset values, and VBAT voltage sensors.

Formula: New Scale = Old Scale × (Betaflight mAh ÷ Charger mAh)

Why calibrate? Current sensors vary significantly between flight controllers and ESCs. Factory defaults are often inaccurate. An uncalibrated sensor can show 850 mAh when you've actually used 1050 mAh — meaning you're over-discharging batteries without knowing it.

Pro tip: After applying the new scale, fly another pack and repeat. Each iteration narrows the error. After 2–3 rounds, you'll typically be within 2–3% accuracy.
Voltage Sensor Calibration VBAT
Formula: New Scale = Old Scale × (Actual Voltage ÷ Betaflight Voltage)

Note: Unlike current calibration, voltage calibration only needs to be done once per flight controller. Measure voltage while the battery is connected to the quad — unplugged voltage will differ due to voltage sag/rise.
